LuLu and Wally

Earlier this week, we learned that our foster dog, Phee, has developed diabetic cataracts and is quickly going blind.   He has been withdrawn and confused lately.  He’s been unable to play fetch, or go up and down the stairs, and he’s been quite cranky with Lu & Wally.

I know that he’d eventually adjust to being blind, as most dogs do just fine without their sight, but to allow him to go blind after all that he’s been through just doesn’t seem fair.

We have had him evaluated for cataract removal surgery and he is a great candidate.  However, the operation is very expensive and the rescue simply does not have the funds to cover the cost of the surgery.

Make my b-day a Phee-day! My birthday is on January 20th and since I’m old and settled and don’t need a thing in the world, I’ve asked my friends to donate a little something to SNORT Rescue in lieu of gifts, attention Phee, the stud muffin in the picture.

Phee (short for Phoenix) is Boston Terrier being fostered by Lulu & Wally’s mom. Phee was skin and bones when they rescued him from the shelter and has had some ongoing medical problems that cost a lot.
